SCP LISTSERV: Frequently Asked Questions
The following questions are in this FAQ
Send a message to the SCP listserv.
1. Who sponsors scp@calvin.edu?It is sponsored by the Society of Christian Philosophers (SCP). Dr. Kelly James Clark, Executive Director of the SCP and Associate Professor of the Calvin College Philosophy Department, is the administrator. The Calvin College Computer Services Department supports it.
2. How does a listserv work?Anyone who has access to electronic mail communication with the Internet may subscribe to the list using the administrative mailing address for the listserv (scp-request@calvin.edu). They will then receive an electronic copy of every message which is sent to the posting address for the list (scp@calvin.edu). If they wish to respond to the sender of the message, they use their e-mail package to send the response. If they wish to respond, post, or otherwise have their words sent to everyone on the list, then they send e-mail, either by forwarding the message to which they are responding or sending a new one, to scp@calvin.edu.
3. Who may sign up for this listserv?Anyone. The intent is that it be for members of the Society of Christian Philosophers, however.
4. How does one subscribe to this listserv? To subscribe just send mail to majordomo@calvin.edu with the words
in the message body (not the subject). If you would like to receive the postings in digest form (collected and sent once per day) you may subscribe to SCP-digest. To subscribe send mail to Majordomo@udomo.calvin.edu with the following command in the body of your e-mail message:
The digest will be posted at 3:00 a.m. EST. If you have already subscribed to SCPlistserv, you will need to unsubscribe from that list first.
5. How does one unsubscribe from this listserv?Unsubscribing is similar: just send mail to the same address majordomo@calvin.edu with the words
again in the message body. To unsubscribe from SCP-digest just send mail to majordomo@calvin.edu with the words
again in the message body.
6. What information may be sent to scp@calvin.edu?This list will be essentially unmoderated. We ask that the contributors moderate themselves by following these guidelines:

8. How do I send information to scp@calvin.edu?Send an e-mail message to scp@calvin.edu
