Dr. wood is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who has been a member of the SIU Health Center staff for 11 years. Dr wood takes care of several of the intercollegiate athletic teams including track, volleyball, and basket ball.
Dr. wood graduated from the University of California at San deigo in 1983, he attended St. Louis University School of medicine from 1983-1987 and then did his orthopedic training at the Mayo Clinic from 1987-1992. He then served in the US Air Force from 1992-1995 before begining private practice in Southern Illinois.
Dr. wood and his family live in Carbondale. He enjoys playing golf, cycling, and
water skiing among other endeavors.
