Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy program offers a comprehensive approach towards the evaluation and treatment of physical impairments related to the neuromusculoskeletal, pulmonary, and cardiovascular systems. After evaluation, recommendations are made which may include a supervised rehabilitation/treatment plan, a self-care plan, or referral to a physician. Sports Medicine and physical therapy works in conjunction with the Student Health Center's Primary Care Sports Medicine physicians and orthopedic surgeons to provide treatment and care of orthopedic problems including post-operative rehabilitation. The new Therapy Pool provides patients with multiple aquatic intervention techniques to facilitate the rehabilitation process. In addition to patient care, the program serves as a training site for students enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program and Athletic Training (AT) Education Program. The Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy program is located on the first floor of the Student Health Center. Please call to make an appointment.
