High-risk sexual behavior can have many consequences including unintended pregnancy, HIV, and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). These, in turn, can lead to a variety of many other harmful and costly clinical complications as well as impact future fertility.
The Wellness Center provides you with access to sexuality education and sexual and reproductive health care and counseling that can reduce your risk of contracting HIV and other STI’s as well as reduce unplanned pregnancy. This education facilitates the exploration and development of one's sexual values and behaviors; promote awareness of responsible sexuality including birth control methodology, safer sex practices, sexual decision-making and sexual communication. Sexuality counselors are available by appointment at the Wellness Center located on the first floor of the Student Health Center.
