Scholarship Information This office coordinates the selection and awarding of two scholarships for non-traditional students: the Non-Traditional Student Service Activity Scholarship ($500 award) for a non-traditional student exhibiting need, academic progress and campus involvement, and the Piper McMahan Endowed Scholarship ($500 award) for a full-time non-traditional student who is currently a sophomore, junior or senior and graduated from high school in Jackson County, Illinois. Applications include a cover letter indicating how the student qualifies as non-traditional, a statement on how the scholarship will help in achieving educational goals, a statement describing service and involvement (NTSSAS), two letters of reference from a faculty member and a work supervisor or other acquaintance and an official SIUC transcript.
