eRecruiting, aka Saluki Recruiting

Utilize our eRecruiting system, the online career and job searching system, enabling graduates to access job listings, connect with employers, participate in on-campus interviews, events and alumni mentorship.

Interactive access to eRecruiting permits users to:

1. Complete a personal profile on the system, which lists their education, major(s), skills, career preferences, etc. This information becomes available to employers .

2. Upload resumes and publish in resume books for employer review and for one-click resume submissions to jobs posted on the system. Resume will become available to employers searching the system.

3. Search hundreds of jobs, internships and co-op opportunities currently posted on the system.

4. Participate in on-campus interviews conducted and coordinated through Career Services.

Job Fairs

Alumni are welcome to attend Job Fairs hosted by Career Services and meet with recruiters regarding employment opportunities. We host all-majors job fairs each fall and spring. It is not necessary to pre-register to attend a job fair. Attendees should come dressed professionally with several copies of your resume to distribute to recruiters. Click here!

Career Assessments

Electronic versions of the Strong Interest Inventory and Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) are administered in Career Services for a charge of $15 each. Two to four in-person appointments are usually needed for career assessments: 1) preliminary to make sure an assessment tool is appropriate; 2) administration of the assessment in our computer lab; 3) interpretation/career counseling session with a staff member; 4) follow-up if needed.

How to get started

All students actively enrolled at SIUC have free access to eRecruiting system. As a courtesy, upon graduation this free access automatically continues for an extended six month period. Subsequently, any graduate who wishes to continue participating may purchase a one year interactive access to eRecruiting for $50.00 through Career Services.

However, graduates who choose to become a member of the SIU Alumni Association are eligible to access eRecruiting system as one of many benefits of their association membership ($40.00 payable to the SIU Alumni Association). To request a username and password students may contact Career Services office at 618-453-2391 or SRonline@siu.edu. Requests may take up to five business days to process in order to verify that the Association dues are current. Access to eRecruiting will expire in conjunction with the expiration date of the Association dues.
