Turtles

My research is studying contaminant burdens and abundance of turtles on the West Kentucky Wildlife Management Area/ DOE Paducah Plant Complex. This project will determine the abundance and distribution of turtles living in the outfalls and ponds on or near this area, and more importantly, the extent of accumulation and potential effects environmental contaminants (primarily metals) by using turtles as biomonitors.
