Dale Crall was born in Rockford, Illinois and graduated from University of Illinois in 1974. It was there he met Christ, was filled with His Holy Spirit and called into full-time ministry. The call was confirmed in the summer of 1974, and then he served two years on staff with Youth With A Mission, Tyler, Texas. After this, God led him home to minister to his mother recovering from a broken marriage. During this time, he became the College and Career pastor at Rockford First Assembly where he served for eight years. While there he met Jan, who was born in El Paso, Texas and was raised in Rockford, Illinois. She was saved at 16 while attending an Institute in Basic Youth Conflict Seminar. She graduated from Luther College in 1978. After graduation she taught German, Yearbook, Art and Photography at Christian Life High School at First Assembly Rockford.

Dale and Jan were married in 1981. In 1986 God led Dale and Jan on a 7-month sabbatical, and this led to taking the campus ministry of Chi Alpha at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in February 1987. They were blessed with a girl, Michelle, in 1998.

Chow Yong Juan was born in Malaysia. He accepted Christ in 1984 but became totally committed in 1988. He graduated from SIUC in 1991 and went back to Malaysia to work at an architect firm. While in Malaysia he met Oi Lin Leong (who was saved in 1986), and they were married in 1993. The Lord blessed them with a baby boy named Jonathan in 1995, a baby girl named Melody in 1997, a baby girl named Charity in 1999, and a baby boy named Nathan in 2002.

In 1994, the Lord led both of them to Carbondale as full time staff with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries and Calvary Campus Church. He is licensed and ordained with the Assemblies of God.

Bruce Payne was born in Marion, Illinois and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He met Christ through an Intervarsity Christian Fellowship meeting in 1982 and was filled with the Holy Spirit in 1984. He worked as a public school teacher for 12 years and received the call to full-time ministry in 1998.

Bruce married Sandy McCormack in 1989; she met Christ through an AWANA Bible club as a child. They have been blessed with three boys, David (1990), Daniel (1994) and Joshua (2002). In 1999, Bruce came on staff with Calvary Campus Church and is currently an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He and Sandy are involved in discipleship and hospitality ministries to Internationals and Americans. They have led several mission trips to Japan in the past few years.

Keith and Leann Hindman were both raised in Southern Illinois and each accepted Christ at an early age in their respective churches. Keith was filled with the Holy Spirit shortly after he started attending Chi Alpha, and Leann was filled with the Holy Spirit as a teenager in the church she attended. They were married in 1994, and are blessed with two boys, Benjamin (1995) and Jonathan (1999), and a girl named Megan (2005).

Keith currently works as a housing manager in a dorm for International students, and Leann heads up the offering team and advises the bookkeeping staff. Keith also serves in the ministry as an elder and head of maintenance, and both Keith and Leann are committed to discipling Internationals and Americans in their walk with Christ.
